How isostasy can help you

Environmental management systems
Isostasy offers a bespoke approach to assist businesses in establishing an environmental management system (EMS) and obtain certification. In some cases, we have used the standard BS8555 as a way of achieving ISO14001 in a series of easily manageable steps. Where a client has already achieved registration to ISO9001 or OHSAS18001, it is quicker and easier to develop the EMS on the basis of existing manuals, procedures and practices. Read more about EMS standards.

Training and awareness
Another significant area of isostasy's expertise is the design and delivery of training courses for those seeking to implement an EMS, including briefings for senior managers and key staff. We have designed and delivered training courses for a number of SMEs in partnership with Eco Network. Based on BS8555, this is a low-cost way of building the essential internal support for an environmental management system.

Corporate Social Responsibility and employee engagement
Isostasy has been involved in setting up programmes for extending the scope of an EMS as well as drafting CSR performance reports. We can also help to develop employee engagement schemes for carbon, water and waste reduction in the workplace, or linked to green procurement. Such exercises will make increasingly good economic sense, particularly for organisations covered by the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC).

Climate change and carbon reduction policy advice
An understanding of the increasingly complex regulatory and policy environment is crucial to business planning and risk management. Isostasy can explain the purpose and implications to your business of existing and planned policy instruments on carbon reduction, sustainable development and the environment. CRC will soon engage a further 5,000 UK organisations in carbon trading and the future of the Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT) is already being discussed. A Community Energy Saving Programme (CESP) now being consulted on.
