Isostasy is a specialist consultancy providing environmental management, strategy and advice in environmental sustainability to commercial and public sector organisations. We have comprehensive experience covering business development, project management, policy analysis and training in the fields of energy, climate change and sustainable development. Recent projects have identified significant cost savings from energy efficiency; reduced liability under the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme; and contributed to climate change adaptation plans.

The people

Matt Prescott BSc (Hons) MRes FRGS was previously the founding director of CarbonLimited, an award-winning RSA project, where he developed innovative methods in public engagement on climate change involving working up to ministerial level on carbon reduction policy. A geographer and environmental scientist trained at University College London he previously managed a number of public sector sustainable construction projects including the UK's largest retrofit green roof, as well as other sustainable energy and community engagement projects.

Paul Crossley BSc (Hons) IEMA was previously Sustainability Manager at construction consultants Robinson Low Francis, where he managed its ISO 14001 certification and delivered wide-ranging training and advice including on low energy design, renewables, sustainable travel, BREEAM and the Code for Sustainable Homes. After studying at UWE Bristol, Paul worked for restoration specialists Ty Mawr Lime and later joined MHP as their Sustainability Manager. He is currently Chairman and Trustee of the charity FRANK Water Projects.

Isostasy was founded in 2001 by David Prescott BSc (Hons) CEng MIET Dip Pollution Control. David is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. A graduate in environmental studies he also holds the Diploma in Pollution Control from the Open University. David is listed at www.charteredconsultant.co.uk and leads on environmental management systems and training, including specialist experience with BS8555.
